According to the Oswego Fire Protection District, emergency personnel were called to the scene at about 4:05 p.m. for a report of a three car accident. When they arrived firefighters/paramedics found one vehicle on its side with the driver trapped inside.
After "extended extrication" the driver was taken by helicopter to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. The condition of the driver is not known at this time, the OFPD said. Nor have any of the drivers been identified.
Paramedics transported another individual by ambulance to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, and others involved did not require medical assistance.
The intersection was closed for several hours as Oswego Police investigated the accident.
