Who is Running for Oswego Village Board?

Dec 19, 2016 06:40PM ● Published by Steven Jack

Just five people will vie for three open seats on the Oswego Village Board in the April 4, 2017 election.

The deadline to file nominating petitions for the April 4, 2017 election was at 5 p.m. Monday, and as of that time the following candidates had filed to run:

Brian Thomas
Donnie Soard
Pam Parr
Judy Sollinger
Luis Perez

Thomas and Soard had filed to run in a February primary; however, because enough candidates did not file, a primary will not be necessary. Both will appear on the April ballot. Thomas previously ran for a spot on the board in 2015.

Parr, Sollinger and Perez hold the three seats for up election. Sollinger has served on the Village Board since 2007, while this will be Parr's second run for village trustee. Perez was appointed to the Village Board in October 2015.
