Update: Aurora Woman Found Deceased

Aurora Police reported Tuesday night that Alice Hohmann was found deceased Tuesday in a wooded area near Edgelawn Drive and Jericho Road. 

On Tuesday, Aurora Police and volunteers from the Aurora Animal Care and Control facility, where she volunteered, responded the the area to conduct a more intensive search. A person fitting Hohmann's description was found.  There were no signs nor indications of foul play. An autopsy has been scheduled, police said.

Aurora Police are searching for a missing 74-year-old woman who was last seen on Saturday. 

According to a police alert, family went to Alice Hohmann's apartment Monday and found a note saying that she had gone to feed the animals at "Edgelawn Drive and Jericho Road." Police checked the area with no results. 

Hohmann does not own a vehicle, and her cell phone was found inside the apartment. 

Police said Hohmann is not believed to be suicidal and she does not have any known mental disorders. However, she does have a heart condition police said. Police have also checked local hospitals with no results.

Hohmann is described as 5-feet, 6-inches tall, 110 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She also has a scar on her stomach, police said.
