Oswego Woman Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash: Police

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two separate burglaries that occurred in Boulder Hill last week. The first incident occurred sometime before 1 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 100 block of Cayman Drive. The second incident occurred sometime before 10:30 a.m. Jan. 8 in the 0-99 block of Creve Court. There are no suspects in either case, the sheriff's office said.
Accident with injuries
A 27-year-old Oswego woman was hospitalized after her car left the road and struck a culvert at about 11:20 a.m. Jan. 6 near Plainfield and Southfield roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The woman was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for her injuries. She was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage.
Eric Salinas, 20, of Montgomery, was arrested for speeding 35 mph over the posted speed limit at about 11:20 p.m. Jan 5 near Route 30 and Fifth Street, according to an Oswego Police report.
Oswego Police are investigating parking lot lights that were shot out at Prairie Point Park sometime before 11:15 a.m. Jan. 5. About $100 damage was done at the park, police said.
Domestic battery, property damage
Daphne Thompson, 47, of Aurora, was arrested two counts of domestic battery and criminal damage to property at about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 1800 block of Route 30, according to an Oswego Police report.
Man scammed on dating site
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of a man in the 0-99 block of Ingleshire Road who was scammed out of cash by a woman he met on an online dating site. Police said there is a suspect in the incident, which took place between Jan 2 and 5.
Officer hit during incident
Kevin Debolt, 25, of Montgomery, was arrested for aggravated battery at about 7:10 p.m. Jan. 1 for an incident in the 2000 block of Light Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies were called to the scene for a man with an unknown medical condition. During the investigation, Debolt struck a deputy, the sheriff’s office said.
Man injured in crash
A 77-year-old Boulder Hill man was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center after his car hit two other cars and a tree in the area of South Bereman and Greenfield roads at about 7:15 p.m. Jan. 1, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses said they observed the man’s car accelerating in reverse in the area. After hitting two vehicles parked on the street, the vehicle came to rest against a tree in the 0-99 block Bereman, the sheriff’s office said. The driver received minor injuries.
