At a recent meeting, the Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education recognized the award-winning efforts of 18 district students who received state recognition for school-related efforts this past fall. One of the students, Georgia White, a junior at Oswego High School, is the first State Champion swimmer in the district’s history.

The board recognized two cross-country athletes who showed stamina and endurance in the Class 3A state cross-country races. Both of these athletes finished ninth in their respective divisions.
  • Isabelle Christiansen, a 10th grader at Oswego High School
  • Dylan Zangri, a ninth grader at Owego East High School
School Board President Bauman noted that the district was also well represented this past fall in the music category at the state level.
