Jan 20, 2017 02:16PM ● Published by Steven Jack

The Oswegoland Park District’s Limelight Theater Company’s first Short Play Festival will be held on Friday, Jan. 27 at 7:00pm at Oswego’s Village Hall (100 Parkers Mill).

Local writers submitted 10-minute plays, which were critiqued by experienced writers/educators. The standout pieces in each category will be performed as staged readings.

The four winning pieces are: Laser Tag Madness by Ryan Sendef (High School Comedy), Al in Genderland by Marshall Anderson (High School Drama), The Egg by Anthony Ortiz (Adult Comedy), and Spectrum by Ingrid Pipkin (Adult Drama).

The Best of Show (as decided by the panel of adjudicators) will be announced at the staged reading on Friday, January 27. Audience members will be able to vote for their favorite piece as the People’s Choice winner.

Tickets are $5. All seats are general admission and tickets can be purchased online or at the door. For more information about this show or to purchase tickets, visit . Contact Cori at with any questions.
