Car window shattered
A resident in the 500 block of Cardinal Avenue reported someone broke out a car window sometime before 11:30 p.m. Jan. 29, according to an Oswego Police report. No damage estimate was given by police.
About $700 in items were stolen from a car in the 700 block of Norway Place at around midnight Jan. 28, according to an Oswego Police report.
Deer vs. Car
About $1,500 in damages were done to an Aurora mans car after he collided with a deer at about 6 p.m. Jan. 28 near Route 34 and Obrien Way, according to an Oswego Police report. The man was not injured in the crash.
Jennifer Molitor, 27, of Yorkville, was arrested for retail theft at about 2 p.m. Jan. 27 in the 3000 block of Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report. She is alleged to have stolen about $323 in merchandise, police said.
Theft at construction site
Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a remote control used for a piece of construction equipment that occurred sometime before 9:50 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 100 block of Chapin Way. The value of the remote is estimated at $858.
Bench damaged at school
A bench at Churchill Elementary School was reported damaged at about 1:15 p.m. Jan. 23, according to an Oswego Police report. There are no suspects, and damage is estimated at about $15, police said.
Stolen vehicle recovered
A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office at about noon Jan. 23 after a vehicle that had been stolen out of Henry County was found in the 100 block of Harbor Drive, the sheriff's office said. Deputies were alerted to the area by the Henry County Sheriff's Office, and caught up with the boy a short time later after canvasing the area.
Amber Lynn Kinard, 25, of Aurora, was arrested for domestic battery and criminal damage to property at about 9:20 a.m. Jan 22 at the Council Court Motel, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail.
A resident in the 100 block of Tealwood Road reported that someone stole a package that had been delivered to the home on Jan. 11, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. The theft was reported Jan. 19.
Hit and Run
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office took a report for a driver running into decorative bricks at Twin Oaks Landscaping sometime before 2:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The driver left the scene without reporting the damage, which was estimated at $3,500.
