On July 14, 2016, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies took a report for an Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse that occurred in the 0 to100 block of Seneca Drive in Boulder Hill. The complainant reported that a family acquaintance made sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.
Detectives continued their investigation and on Jan. 27 charged Joshua Benjamin, 21, of Oswego, with two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse — both Class 2 felonies, the sheriff's office said.
Benjamin’s bond was set at $25,000 with 10 percent to apply.
Benjamin was taken into custody without incident Feb. 1, by members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task force and transported to the Kendall County Jail.
Benjamin posted bond and was freed to await his next court appearance.
