North Carolina Fugitive Caught Near Oswego: Police

Car windows damaged

A resident in the 200 block of Waterbury Circle reported that a car window was shattered sometime before 9:15 a.m. Feb. 19. Another resident in the 400 block of Blue Ridge Drive also reported a broken car window during the same time period, according to an Oswego Police report.

Domestic battery

Francisco Puga, 27, of Montgomery, was charged with domestic battery after an incident involving a female acquaintance at about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 in the 1500 block of Route 34.

Vehicle damaged

An Aurora woman reported that someone scratched a profanity into her car while it was parked in the Target parking lot at about noon Feb. 12, according to Oswego Police. About $500 in damage was done to the car, police said. 

Head-on crash hospitalizes drivers

An Aurora man, 67, and an Oswego, 49, man were hospitalized after a head on crash at about 4:50 p.m. Feb. 14 at Orchard Road and Tuscany, according to an Oswego Police report. It's alleged that the Aurora man drove his vehicle into the path of the Oswego man, police said. 

Fugitive captured

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office reported the capture of a man wanted for kidnapping and rape out of Union County North Carolina. Bruno Rendina was taken into custody on Feb. 8 near Route 31 and Etsinger Road. Rendina had been a fugitive since Sept. 9, 2016, the sheriff's office said. He was captured by the U.S. Marshal's Office with the help of the Sheriff's Office.
