Three juveniles are facing a host of charges after they were seen breaking into cars in the Prescott Mill Subdivision early Thursday morning.
According to Oswego Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, police were called to the 600 block of Hawley Drive at about 1:45 a.m. for a report of two boys breaking into cars and a suspicious vehicle circling the area.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver ran from the car into surrounding fields. The car was later determined to be stolen out of Batavia, Nevara said.
Police set up a perimeter around the area and about an hour later the three juveniles were taken into custody. Nevara said three vehicles in the Prescott Mill subdivision were later reported to have been broken into.
Arrested and charged were a 16-year-old Aurora boy, a 15-year-old Montgomery boy and a 16-year-old Batavia boy. All were charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle, two counts of burglary to a vehicle and one count of criminal trespass to a vehicle.
