Man Facing Gun Charges After Boulder Hill Incident: Police

A Streator man with gang ties has been arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun in Boulder Hill earlier this month, police said.

According to Kendall County Sheriff's spokeswoman Deputy Nancy Velez, deputies were called to the 100 block of Afton Road at about 12:50 p.m. March 3 for a report of a man threatening another man with a gun.

When deputies arrived, the suspect had left the area on foot, but was arrested a short distance away, Velez said.

Seth Magana, 19, of Streator, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of firearm ammunition without a Firearm Owners ID Card, possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owners ID Card, all Class A misdemeanors; residential burglary, Class 1 Felony and possession of a firearm by a street gang member, Class 2 felony.

Magana was taken to the Kendall County Jail. Bond was set at $200,000.
