Employees Receive Bad Paychecks: Police

Business writes bad checks

Oswego Police are investigating a business in the 0-99 block of Stonehill Road that allegedly wrote several bad paychecks checks to employees during the last month. Police responded to the business at about 5:30 p.m. March 10 and again on March 12.

Phone stolen

An Oswego woman had her phone stolen from Traughber Junior High School at about 3 p.m. March 9, according to an Oswego Police report. The phone is valued at about $800.

Damage done to home

Oswego Police are investigating a criminal damage to property report that occurred at about 5 p.m. March 8 in the 4000 block of Schofield Drive. Drywall and a door were damaged during the incident. Police are also investigating the theft of $40 at the same address. 

Cars spray-painted

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is investigating two vehicles that were sprayed with yellow paint sometime before 11 a.m. March 6 in the 2200 block of Light Road.

Domestic battery

Lawrence Busch, 55, of the 1000 block of Route 30, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery at about 11:10 a.m. March 6, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Busch was given the aggravated charge because of the extent of the injuries the victim received, the sheriff's office said.
