Now that the light is at the end of the winter tunnel, we can see Spring is on its way. The Oswegoland Park District is kicking off the season with two annual events to celebrate Spring.
The Easter Bunny is hopping over to Fox Bend Golf Course on the morning of Wednesday, April 12th. Pearce’s Pavilion is the perfect place for a pow wow between the bunny and your bitty one while enjoying Pearce’s kid-friendly cuisine.
Then hop off, to fill your spring basket, by hunting for the colored eggs hidden just for your kiddo. Fox Bend is a beautiful spot to capture the moment, so remember your baskets and camera as this event offers the perfect photo-op with the Bunny.
This meet and greet will happen rain or shine. Everyone attending must register. The Bitty Bunny Brunch is $20 for Oswegoland Park District residents and $25 for Non-residents. Registration ends April 7th.
Once the sun goes down there is more Park District fun. School-aged kids will celebrate the season with a Flashlight Egg Hunt held at Fox Chase Elementary and Wormley Heritage Park. Kids will embark on a search for Easter eggs with only the beam from their flashlight.
Select eggs are designated as winners with prizes that include an Action Pro Camera, Tablets, VR viewers, stuffed animals.. Everyone walks away a winner with a goody bag filled with candy and prizes. Interested egg hunters are encouraged to remember their flashlight and dress for the weather, as the hunt is on rain or moonshine.
A limited number of 250 participants will receive their egg hunter’s license at check in from 7:30 -7:55pm. The Egg Hunt fee for Oswegoland Park District residents is $7, $9 for Non-Residents. Registration ends April 10th at 4:30.
