OSWEGO ELECTION FORUM: Candidates Receive Kendall Republican's Endorsement

Mar 21, 2017 07:27AM ● Published by Steven Jack

For the first time in 55 years, Kendall County consolidated elections have Republican Candidates who choose to identify as Republicans on the ballot!  Voters contacted us wanting to know about the candidates.

To that end, the Kendall County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC) held Candidate Forum’s.  We requested completion of a questionnaire with honest to the point answers, about themselves and reasons for running.

We thank all candidates that attended our forums or returned our questionnaire.  We appreciate their sacrifice running for a public office. We will publish candidate responses on our website  for our voters to find the most in-depth information available.

My thoughts, see Facebook (James Marter).

We have two Republican Candidates, Brian Thomas and Donnie Soard, for Oswego Village Board (aka the Money Pit), they have my endorsement, I ask you to vote for them.

Every office in Oswego Township has Republican Candidates.  I encourage your support, in particular Diane Selmer for Trustee, the leader to bring fiscal responsibility and good government.

School Districts are non-partisan; Republicans won't be identified.  With “Identity” politics rampant, seems candidates should be allowed to identify themselves on the ballot!

Brent Lightfoot SD#308 is endorsed; I may have others after the last forum.
