The Village’s ECO Commission is set to hold its Earth Day celebration from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22 at Oswego Village Hall.

The event will include a demonstration of a butterfly garden, composting, and raising chickens.  Fox Metro will host a drop off for medical prescriptions. Eye glasses, Styrofoam and packing materials may also be dropped off.

There will be a book and bicycle exchange.  Please note that electronics, scrap metal, TV’s, or household items will NOT be accepted.

This event will also serve as the pick-up time and place for rain barrels ordered through the Village of Oswego.

Finally, Oswego Public Works staff will plant two trees at the Oswego Village Hall in honor of Arbor Day. This will take place at 10 a.m. near the gazebo.

For more information about the Earth Day Event, please contact the ECO Commission at eco@oswegoil.org.
