We will be providing a total of $8,000 in scholarships to high school seniors at OEHS and OHS this spring to assist 4 students at each school to further their college dreams. In addition to the scholarships we will also be providing sponsorship to several local initiatives over the next several months.
Applications are still being accepted for these scholarships. Find out more information by clicking here.
“I’m so excited to be able to share this amazing news regarding our 2nd Annual Red Carpet Fundraiser. This was a collaborative effort with the wonderful women of our club, along with the businesses and members of our community. I’m so proud that we were able to assist in furthering the education of some of our high school students, my heart is full.” said OJWC President, Carrie Niesman.
The Oswego Junior Woman’s Club, federated by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs is proud to announce they will be distributing eight $1,000 scholarships between Oswego High School and Oswego East High School at their upcoming Senior Awards Nights held in early May.
OJWC presented their first scholarships in May 2015, one at each high school. For the past two years, the success of the Red Carpet Fundraiser has allowed us to help many additional students and provide them with the means to further their educations.
Additional funds raised will be used to help sponsor the Moving Vietnam Wall coming to Oswego, the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt and other events happening within the Oswego community.
OJWC is a not-for-profit organization that supports the Oswego and surrounding communities through volunteer services and financial generosity with a focus on women and children.
