Oswego Police Issues St. Patrick's Day Citation Report

The Oswego Police Department issued 36 seat belt citations – 11 of which occurred during nighttime hours – as part of a targeted enforcement detail over St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

The Oswego Police Department also issued 4 citations for drivers using an electronic communication device. The Oswego Police Department joined forces with other state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click it Or Ticket” crackdowns.

The enforcement effort was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
