Natasha Clark, LPC, Suicide Prevention Services of America, will facilitate a conversation/discussion of this important topic at the Oswego Senior Center, The elderly account for the highest percentage per population that dies by suicide. A conversation about suicide in a safe environment to address the following questions: • Why do people have suicidal thoughts? • Who experiences suicidal thoughts? • Is it dangerous to talk about suicide? • Why is suicide a taboo subject? • Do suicidal people truly want to die?
